Bridging the Tech Talent Gap: How CTA Delivers Job-Ready Professionals
Is a lack of IT education holding people back?
The technology industry is booming, and the demand for skilled professionals has never been higher. However, there is a significant barrier preventing many talented individuals from entering the tech field: a lack of (or inadequate) IT education. Let’s discuss…
Common Challenges in Tech Businesses
A recent report from BAE Systems revealed that 42% of the British public believe that a lack of proper IT education in schools has restricted their ability to enter the tech sector.
As a result, many individuals who could be making incredible contributions to the tech world are missing out on opportunities in an industry that needs fresh, diverse talent.
Saying this, we understand the common challenges businesses face when it comes to hiring new tech talent – from skills gaps and training consumption to high turnover rates and time-consuming hiring processes. That’s why we’ve made it our mission to erase ‘traditional’ recruitment processes and help businesses secure highly trained tech talent quickly and efficiently.
Our Mission
At Corecom Technology Academy, we don’t just train people. We recruit, develop, and place passionate individuals into meaningful tech careers. Both models focus on collaboration with employers, ensuring that we provide them with job-ready talent that meets their specific needs.
We also prioritise diversity, bringing a broad range of perspectives into the industry, which can only help fuel innovation and growth in the tech sector even further.
Our goal is simple: to make tech accessible to everyone, not just those who took the ‘traditional’ route. We know that the world of technology should be open to anyone with the passion and drive to succeed, regardless of their background or education. Whether you’re looking for an alternative way into the industry, or your organisation is seeking to tap into a new pipeline of skilled professionals, we’re here to help.
How Can Corecom Technology Academy Help?
At Corecom Technology Academy, we believe that the traditional education route shouldn’t be the only pathway into the tech industry.
The reality is that many people – whether they come from non-tech backgrounds, are career changers, or simply didn’t have access to structured IT education – have the potential to thrive in the tech world. All they need is the right opportunity and guidance to unlock their full and unique potential.
That’s why we offer alternative, accessible pathways into tech careers using two flexible models: ‘Recruit, Train’ and ‘Recruit, Train, Deploy’.
Model 1: Recruit, Train, Deploy
Our academy provides alternative, accessible pathways into the tech industry through employer-led, funded skills bootcamps. These bootcamps are designed to equip individuals with practical, hands-on experience that mirrors the real-world challenges tech professionals face every day. Rather than relying on theoretical knowledge, we ensure that our trainees gain the in-demand skills employers are looking for, and are prepared for success in their chosen fields.
Our comprehensive training programmes span a wide range of tech disciplines, including:
Software Engineering – Learn the latest programming languages and development frameworks to build innovative software solutions.
Data Engineering – Gain expertise in managing and optimising large datasets to help organisations make data-driven decisions.
Cloud & DevOps – Master cloud technologies and DevOps methodologies to help businesses scale and optimise their operations.
Quality Engineering & Testing – Become a critical part of the software development lifecycle, ensuring products are robust, secure, and high-performing.
Business Analysis – Understand how to translate business needs into technical requirements, helping companies make informed decisions.
Cyber Security – Equip yourself with the skills to protect businesses from cyber threats and ensure their data and systems remain secure.
Model 2: Recruit, Train
At CTA, we also offer a Recruit and Train service – finding the best talent and upskilling them via full-time intensive training, funded by Skills For Life. Our technical training instructors cover a range of technology, processes, and tools that meet the needs of the client.
Training includes (but not limited to); Agile, Quality Engineering, Test Automation, Source control, DevOps, OO design, and CI/CD.
These are hired by you from the start, with our Corecom Technology Academy team supporting the process along the way. At the completion of their training, people complete their time with Corecom Technology Academy and start to work on your projects.
