The Corecom Group announces pioneering model for digital business transformation and sustainability

The Corecom Group of companies, namely Corecom Quality Engineering (CQE), Corecom Consulting and Corecom Technology Academy (CTA), have announced their success in collectively transforming the future of technology companies and departments.

The Corecom Group is the only group of companies under one brand to combine and deliver the services of:

·       a software development, software testing and project consultancy

·       contract and permanent IT recruitment

·       highly trained technology professionals

The Group’s pioneering model is based on the concept of shaping, enabling and growing technology organisations and departments, providing the highest level of ownership across the piece. Their most recent client, a global financial services organisation with over 1,000 employees, used the Group’s full range of services to bring their software testing service back in-house to remove delays in their testing and release lifecycles. Here we showcase how the Corecom Group utilised the model to transform the organisation and ensure its sustainability:

Shape reflects the services provided by CQE, whose expertise lies in defining and understanding an organisation’s technology requirements - what they need to deliver and who they need in order to achieve this. CQE provided a Transformation Leader, supported by a team of specialist Test consultants, capable of driving and executing a transformation programme of this nature. Phil Stead – Consulting and Delivery Director at CQE, said:

“At CQE we excel at helping clients to shape and optimise their Testing and QA organisations and driving transformation programmes to deliver long-term benefits. By also working with Corecom Consulting and Corecom Technology Academy we can give our clients a unique set of services but with a single point of control and accountability.”

The Enable stage is delivered by Corecom Consulting who have industry leading expertise in recruiting the key people required to deliver an organisation’s requirements, including contractors and permanent employees. Corecom Consulting enabled the financial services organisation to run branded, targeted, digital recruitment campaigns to find the permanent employees they needed. They hired permanent employees into the leadership team and provided cohorts of expert Test contractors across Automation and Performance Engineering, as well as Test Leads and Managers during project peaks.

Rick Hughes - Director at Corecom Consulting, said:

“At Corecom Consulting we help our clients by designing and delivering innovative, digital recruitment campaigns and employer brand solutions in order for our clients to scale by hiring the best tech talent. By working in partnership with Corecom Quality Engineering and Corecom Technology Academy, we offer our clients a uniquely holistic service of expert consultancy, award winning tech recruitment and ethical technology trainee academies, synchronised under the one brand with a single point of accountability.”

Grow is centred around sustainability and ensuring that businesses are equipped for the medium and long term. This is where CTA, a proactive product of the serious IT skills shortages in the tech sector, comes in. To ensure the financial services organisation’s services became sustainable, CTA ran an academy for multiple trainees. This was made up of graduates and ambitious career changers that were integrated into the organisation’s existing teams in order to grow their capability. James Taylor - Business Director at CTA, said:

“Corecom Technology Academy helps clients build sustainable, diverse and inclusive talent pipelines through our Recruit, Train, Integrate model, as well as providing a range of tech training services. Through working collaboratively with Corecom Quality Engineering and Corecom Consulting we are able to offer a range of solutions to both resourcing difficulties and technical training which helps organisations shape their teams through building bigger and better talent pools, retention of staff through training to aid in career development and helping solve their technology challenges.”

The Corecom Group’s unique approach offers enormous business advantages. The financial services organisation, for example, was able to realise a key business objective that would increase productivity by 20% and reduce the time to market for new products by 40-50%. Given that it operates in a very competitive market, introducing new products efficiently is critical to securing new revenue streams.

Whether an organisation chooses to use one, two or all of the Group's services, customers say that it provides the reassurance, quality, trust and single point of accountability that you just don’t get with disparate companies - so they were on to a winner with their offering from the very beginning.
